Anand Mahindra shares heartfelt post on use of Bolero to inspect world’s highest rail bridge
The popular Indian SUV, the Bolero, is known for its rugged body and use. The car was the top choice of Indian Railways to inspect the railway tracks of the world’s highest railway bridge.
One of the first vehicles to run on the world’s tallest railway arch bridge at Chenab, J&K, was a converted Bolero. The bridge is taller than the Eiffel Tower.
“So it was a Mahindra Bolero converted into a rail vehicle that was one of the first vehicles to run on the world’s tallest railway arch bridge at Chenab, J&K, leading the inspection trolleys of @AshwiniVaishnaw. The bridge at 359 m is taller than the Eiffel Tower in Paris,” Rajendra Aklekar wrote.
