India’s GDP from Year 01 to 2003.

Indian was an economic super power and a world leader once but it went declined over the years.

Historians of Indian mathematics have long discussed how the concept of zero, positives, negatives and the laws of sign were documented in the early 7th Century. However, new research reveals an incomplete understanding of India’s zero in the Medieval Arabic world. This meant the role of zero as a placeholder was transmitted to Renaissance Europe, yet the more profound role of zero as a number, defined as the sum of equal positives and negatives, was not. As a result, neither negatives nor zero were involved in early and subsequent developments in Algebra and erroneous rules on Integer ordering emerged.

Today, this incomplete understanding of zero and negative numbers persists in typical elementary school classes. Alongside historical observations, the author, Jonathan J Crabtree calls for a more cohesive curriculum, constructed around India’s original understanding of zero that better integrates the laws of mathematics, physics and common sense.

About Speaker: –
Podometic founder and elementary Maths historian Jonathan J. Crabtree is a guest lecturer at Indian universities. Having reviewed writings in Latin, Greek, Arabic and Sanskrit, his provocative presentations reveal how India’s ‘lost’ ancient mathematics is vastly superior to the western maths taught today.

10:15 – We get the word Algebra from the book title and the word “Algorithm” from Al-Khwarizmi.

What we know about arithmetic isn’t ture.
Every previous fact is false.

let’s let arithmetic die and be reborn from zero.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

14:15 – With the help of Sanskritists and mathematics professors both in India and North America, I’ve analyzed line by line the Sanskrit of the laws of mathematics, the laws of sine for algebra written by Brahma Gupta, This is where I really found gold, I’ve been doing my research at of ancient Greek, Latin, Sanskrit, Arabic, Hebrew, French, German, Italian, Russian, that’s Czech, Spanish, Mandarin, about another five languages, but I finally struck gold with Brahma Gupta.

34:34 – Mathematics is the platform upon which all of the solutions of India’s problems
in the future are going to be built so, whether it’s science technology
engineering or medicine, it’s mathematics which is going to help India overcome
its problems and enter in a new golden age of prosperity and spirituality and happiness.
